68736_OEF_website header_2951x2061-01

Saturday, October 29, 2022
Doors open at 5:30 PM

The Sentinel Hotel
614 SW 11th Avenue, Portland, Oregon

Please join us for an evening Beneath the Stars as we celebrate 32 years of powering lives! The evening will feature a cocktail hour, delicious Northwest cuisine, live and silent auctions, live music, stories from OEF recipients, and more!

We Oregonians love to get off the grid, whether it's watching the sun set on the coast or the stars floating over the desert in Eastern Oregon. But for many Oregonians, getting off the grid isn't a vacation; it's a harsh reality.

Proceeds from the event will support Oregon Energy Fund’s mission to strengthen household stability by assisting Oregonians in financial crisis with their energy bills.

Power comes in many forms. What does yours look like?

Volunteer

We're seeking friendly and upbeat volunteers who will give the evening an extra jolt of fun! Roles include greeting guests, registration, and raffle sales. Follow the link to sign up - dinner will be provided.

Featuring:

Misty Marquam,

Marquam Auction Agency

Misty Marquam, founder and Principal Auctioneer at Marquam Auction Agency, will be at the helm of the Gala’s live auction. A native Oregonian, reformed computer geek, foodie, and mother of two, Misty has been innovating FUNdraising since 2006 and is a World Wide College of Auctioneering graduate, a Benefit Auctioneer Specialist, a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Fundraising Ambassador, and a member of the National Auctioneers Association. This is her fifth gala with OEF and we are thrilled to have her back!

Brian Allbritton,

Oregon Energy Fund

Brian Allbritton, Executive Director of Oregon Energy Fund, will be the host for this year's event. Brian has served as the Executive Director of OEF since 2016, spearheading a successful rebranding and a new 5-year strategic plan to grow donor awareness and increase funding. He previously served as the Chief Financial Officer at Trillium Family Services. Prior to his move to the nonprofit sector, Brian had a successful career in high tech, including ten years of work abroad in Europe and Asia.

Gustav,

101.9KINK

Gustav, Portland's beloved radio host, will be our emcee for this year's event. Gustav first moved to Portland from the Bay Area to study German and International Affairs at Lewis and Clark College, where he was immediately seduced by radio. He has spent the past 25+ years on the air in Portland, sharing his love for all things music and entertainment. He’s been voted “best of Portland” multiple times by Willamette Week readers, played mixed dance music sets in clubs around town, including Waterfront Park, and has volunteered for numerous years with UCP Oregon as well as his son’s school district. When he’s not fueling his coffee addiction or reading dystopian sci-fi on his free time, he and his wife enjoy running, visiting the dog park with their Shiba-Inu, and taking their blended family to fun new destinations for hiking and sightseeing!
