A Letter from Our Executive Director

April 14, 2026

Dear Friends,

I love living in Oregon, especially in the springtime. As the days grow longer and the rain begins to ease across Oregon, I take a special pleasure in opening the windows, stepping outside, and just breathing in that sense of renewal and excitement that comes when the winter clouds fade.

For too many of our neighbors, however, energy insecurity doesn’t disappear with the changing seasons. Families still face difficult choices between paying utility bills and covering essential needs like groceries, medication, and housing.

Oregon Energy Fund helped thousands of people last year, and every one of those people has a story. A parent who could keep their home warm for their children, a senior able to remain safely in the home they love, a family spared the stress of a utility shutoff.

Everything we do is possible because communities across Oregon come together to support one another. From utility partners and community organizations to individual donors who believe in lending a hand when neighbors need it most, this network of support ensures help is available when families face difficult moments.

Thank you for being part of what makes Oregon such a great place to live.

With gratitude,

Brian Allbritton
Executive Director, Oregon Energy Fund
