Off to the Races
Last month, Oregon Energy Fund joined thousands of runners and walkers at Portland’s Shamrock Run for the first time. It was a joyful day and a wonderful reminder of the energy and spirit that make Oregon communities so special.
By participating in the run, Team Oregon Energy Fund helped raise funds to support families across the state who struggle to keep up with rising energy costs. While we fell a little short of our fundraising goal, the event was still a tremendous success, and we look forward to returning next year.
Being a part of events like the Shamrock Run helps us do more than raise funds. It allows us to raise awareness of Oregon Energy Fund and our mission, meet people where they are, make new friends, connect with volunteers and donors, and, most importantly, be a part of the communities we serve.
If there’s an event happening in your community and you think we should be involved, we’d love to hear from you. From local races and workplace fundraisers to neighborhood festivals and community gatherings, Oregon has a million ways to bring people together for a good cause. Whether it’s hosting a table, forming a team, or partnering with local organizers, we’d love to be part of the excitement.
