This winter, the students at Valley Catholic Elementary School in Beaverton turned their monthly tradition of generosity into a powerful act of kindness for families struggling with energy costs. Through their Free Dress for $1 program, students in grades K–5 donated $289.60 to Oregon Energy Fund, helping to keep homes warm and lights on for neighbors in need.

Each month, Valley Catholic students trade their uniforms for casual clothes in exchange for a $1 donation to a local charity. This long-standing tradition teaches young students the value of giving back to their community, one dollar at a time.

We’re honored to have been chosen as the January 2025 beneficiary and grateful for the compassion and generosity of these young philanthropists.
